L’antefatto è questo: mia figlia, 15 anni seconda liceo, per il compleanno di una sua amica vorrebbe regalarle una felpa con una immagine personalizzata con il nome dell’amica. Ha scoperto che il Decathlon di Savignano fa questo servizio di stampa a partire da disegni preferibilmente in formato Adobe Illustrator (quindi immagini vettoriali ). Mia figlia non fa una piega tanto “lo fa il mio papà ..”.
Preso da legittimo orgoglio paterno non posso rifiutare, ma non uso grafica vettoriale da diversi anni . Con crescente affanno ricerco un software in grado di leggere quel formato, mi ricordo che tanti anni fa avevo (originale!) il Corel Draw 4.0 e con supremo sprezzo del pericolo lo installo sul mio XP Professional. Incredibilmente il programma gira ancora: l’interfaccia è spartana, niente toolbar svolazzanti, pochi comandi nei menu, tutto rigidamente bidimensionale ma fa quel poco che devo fare. » Read the rest of this entry «
